Luis Eric Gonzalez, born in Matanzas, Cuba, began playing trumpet at the age of seven. He is a graduate of the Institute of Arts in Havana and has extensive classical training. During his early career in Cuba, he performed and recorded with leading popular bands, as well as in operas, ballets, radio, and documentary productions. Since establishing his career in the United States in 1997, Luis has become a highly respected musician, producer, and musical director. He served as Musical Director for the legendary Celia Cruz (The Queen of Salsa) and has toured, recorded, and performed with world-renowned artists including Don Henley, Gloria Estefan, Raul Malo, Lou Bega, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tito Nieves, Eric Benét, Carl Thomas, Son by Four, Juan Gabriel, Armando Manzanero, Joan Sebastian (two-time Grammy winner), Jill Scott, Angélique Kidjo, and Andy Garcia. He is currently performing with the Jamie Foxx Band and Chinese pop star Jane Zhang. Beyond performance, Luis Eric Gonzalez is a seasoned composer, arranger, and producer. He is the founder of Azulu Music Productions, Inc., where he develops and produces a wide range of musical projects. His work spans multiple genres including Latin Pop, Jazz, Salsa, R&B, Classical, and Rock. Luis has created arrangements for artists such as Raul Malo, Lou Bega, and Eliades Ochoa of Buena Vista Social Club (Grammy winner). His work also includes commercial compositions for brands such as Carl’s Jr. and Nissan, as well as contributions to film soundtracks including The Hot Chick and Original Sin.

Cuban Therapy is evolving into a global jazz collaboration that blends Cuban and American musical excellence. 

As part of this vision, Azulu Music Productions, Inc. is exploring the incorporation of legendary American drummer Dennis Chambers to elevate the project into the international jazz festival circuit across the U.S. and Europe. 

This direction positions Cuban Therapy as a world-class touring project.
