ABOUT LUIS ERIC GONZALEZ
Luis Eric Gonzalez was born in Matanzas Cuba and started playing trumpet at the age of seven. He is a graduate of the Institute of Arts in Havana Cuba and has several years of formal classical training. In Cuba, he performed and recorded not only with Top Popular Cuban bands, but also for operas, ballets, radio and documentary films. Luis Eric has been establishing his musical career in the United States since 1997. He was the musical director for Celia Cruz (The Queen of Salsa). He has toured and recorded and performed with artists such as: Don Henley, Gloria Estefan, Raul Malo, Lou Vega, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tito Nieves, Eric Benet, Carl Thomas, Son by 4, Juan Gabriel, Armando Manzanero, Joan Sebastian (Two-time Grammy Winner), Jill Scott, Angelique Kidjo, Andy Garcia, Jamie Fox Band and Jane Chang Chinese Pop Star. Presently, Luis is doing arrangements and touring as lead trumpeter with Al McKay's Earth, Wind and Fire Experience. Artist, producer, composer, singer, songwriter, trumpeter, and multi-instrumentalist specializing in music for film, television and records. His credits include; Movie's Original Sin (Antonio Banderas, Angelina Jolie) and Hot Chick (Rob Schneider), TV show CSI Miami, and commercials Health Net, Carl's Jr. and Nissan.

LE ZALEZ trumpet playing is market by its warm, mellow tone and an almost effortless sense of phrasing, avoiding the brashness or technical firework of some of his contemporaries.
